Senior Adults

Becoming a senior adult at First Baptist means more than earning a right to use the handicapped parking spots. We have several opportunities for our seniors to become involved in church activities. AAA (Active Aging Adults) is a group that takes trips to various places the fourth Tuesday of each month. It is a time of great fun and fellowship. We also have a very active group that meets each Tuesday at 9 am in the Middle School Sunday School Classroom. They are called the “Mission Hearts & Hands,” and they do various mission work through quilting and craft work. Another group of seniors practice handchimes on Tuesday from 1:15-2:30 pm in the Handbell Room. This group plays for the local nursing homes and occasionally plays pre-service music for Sunday morning worship. If you have any questions or want to join one of these groups, please contact the church office.
